Cordova High Head football coach Anthony Jones has joined Mike Norvell’s staff as assistant at the Univ. Of Memphis. Filling spot vacated by Darrell Dickey. Not yet clear what position he will coach. Great move. Great hire. Great young coach. Deserves this opportunity.

Don't know if both, or even either, will sign, but this is a good hire for the coaching staff. He will help in recruiting and is a very good coach that apparently has a good report with players.

Both are undecided. Banks was supposedly visiting UT this weekend.
Malzahn had the in-home with Carvin when all the Malzahn/Norvell to Arkansas hysteria was going on.

Yes, hiring an assistant to get a player is more of a college basketball thing (unless you are Tubby Smith). It will help with local recruiting and he seems to be a really good coach. Should be a win win for both Jones and Norvell.

So if they managed to land the big OT from Cordova, Tigers would be looking at a future O-line of guys like: Eze (6'8 285), Mikhail Hill (6'4 325), Nigel Brannon (6'5 330), Carvin (6'4 330) that were all 3 or 4 stars on 247 Sports.

I have a feeling that Eze is probably going to be 330-340 lbs.
