Since expansion of the NCAA tournament to 64+ teams, only seven schools without FBS football have been No. 1 seeds, including tonight's Jimmy V opponents, Villanova and Gonzaga, last year. The full list: Nova (2006, 2015, 2017); Georgetown (1985, 1987, 1989), Gonzaga (2013, 2017); St. John's (1985, 1986); Wichita State (2014); Saint Joseph's (2004); and UMass (1996).
