Fits his agenda of kicking out the minor conferences from the tournament.

The Bilas Index is out. Tough keeping ECU out after the huge victory over Campbell. A win over Grambling next week may put the Pirates over the top.

What does this mean? There are three in the MW, and I don't think the MW will get three in, right?

He doesn't include auto qualifiers. That knocks the list down by 20 or so when you're talking tourney.

Wow. I love the opening paragraphs of that piece.

This is just a straight top 68. Auto bids will eliminate the last what 20 or so teams from the tourney as they are greater than 68 but get an autobid. So based on that it would be 1 from the MWC unless someone other than Nevada won the conference tourney and then maybe you get two. Still way to earlier though really to say it would be 1 or 2 or more honestly.

It means the MWC is half as good as the AAC.

That makes sense. Thanks.

The old SWC has 7 of the Top 53. Only Texas and Rice are missing.

Texas is awful. They have an overtime loss to Bilas' #1 Duke, an overtime loss to Bilas' #9 Gonzaga, and a win against Bilas' #59 Butler.

How does Dunphy garner so much effusive praise?

"Fran Dunphy is one of the best coaches in the country, and one of the best people. Having Quinton Rose as a more experienced star and Obi Enechionyia as a senior will make Temple a contender in the American."

Fran Dunphy is a "good" coach at best. What a ******* joke.
