Supposedly the sanctions are over by next season. New coach would have nothing going on that he has to deal with in that regard. The issue right now is recruiting...early signing is the 20th.

With ECU not firing Scotty Montgomery and UCF apparently pursuing Kevin Sumlin, IMO UL should pursue Mike Houston.

Hell no! He’s the reason we got caught up in the NCAA investigation. Well his recruiting guru David Saunders is. But we were caught while the NCAA was investigating Ole Miss. it wasn’t an investigation directed at us, so much as we hired one of their guys and followed their blue print.

Very good coach who has been talked about at length on Ragin Pagin. He would be a tremendous hire for us. He wouldn’t be the biggest splash, but he is number 1B on my list of FCS coaches.

There is a big push for Matt Viator from some locals. Just like there was when we hired Hudspeth. Now that he has stepped away from McNeese he is more palatable to the fan base than before.

I think a lot of AD's would think he is a big gamble in a lot of ways. Not trustworthy at the least.
