The NFL viewership is down. And, I don't think many people care about the NBA... at least not until the playoffs. ESPN's heyday was when they had Big Monday and Super Tuesday... when the Big East was gaining national recognition... and, the UNLV Runnin' Rebels & the rest of the Big West entertained viewers late night. I work in the schools, and the youth all seem to be way more into the NBA and it’s stars than the NFL. Here in Northern California, the Niners stink (Raiders aren’t that much better) and Warriors are reigning, which very well may help this non-scientific finding, but I think this is an trend occurring nationallly. |
