Well it’s the end of a long and mostly miserable season for both teams although each team is better than their record indicates. The Chanticleers are coming off their first conference win and a bye week while the Eagles have a newfound drive after interim head coach and now permanent head coach, Chad Lunsford, turn things around in quick succession, steamrolling conference opponents South Alabama and Louisiana in back-to-back weeks. Both teams have run-heavy, option offenses and both teams will be looking for their third and final win of the 2017 season.

ESPN match-up predictor: CCU 52.2% chance to win
Georgia Southern’s ticket office has announced that Georgia Southern’s entire allotment of tickets has been sold out and are now turning people to Coastal’s ticket office for tickets. Expect a large Eagle contingent on Saturday.
A win for either team would help to end the season with positive momentum going forward into recruitment and spring ball.

I think I know how this is going to go but really have no clue. So many emotions tied in with it being CCU's last home game us getting the player pick at HC. CCU has no D but can put up a number....We seem to have a D now but if you can score that on any SEC team it scares me.
Wish it was at Paulson and not their last game, as I said on our board Seniors never want to go out a loser at home. Troy and USA can attest to this. Just glad they are not 5-6 and bowl eligible this year to add to it, still think that cost us that GaSt game in 2015.

I'd say we win this one in a walk, but Jamey Chadwell is coaching the offense for Coastal so we can't get too cocky. Our defense is playing much better but there are still some exploitable problems.

Personally, I hope we keep our DB coach next year. It's clearly the best part of our defense.

As a determining factor in the outcome of the game what I'm about to say means absolutely nothing... BUT man has our team finished seasons well in the last several years.
2013: 26-20 Win over UF (PBU near the end zone as time expires)
2014: 22-16 Win over ULM for solo Conf Title (PBU in end zone as time expires)
2015: 58-27 Win over Bowling Green in the last ever GoDaddy Bowl
2016: 28-24 Win over Troy (Incomplete pass in end zone as time expires)
2017: ??
My guess? A 24-20 win over CCU (PBU in end zone as time expires) lol
