It’s really hard to beat a team twice in one season. I also believe that the regular UNT team didn’t show up for that game a little over a month ago. It will be close. Give me UNT by 4.

The problem I am having handicapping the conference championship game is that the regular season game was such a blow out. I know UNT is a better team than the one that the Owls destroyed 69-31. But how MUCH better? That's the question.
And, yes, I do know that whether it is a victory by one point or by 30 - it does not matter. My worry is that should it get really close, we will get the old FAU virus of letting victories slip through our fingers.

I think I sound like a confused fan. I am confused about all this. I am confused about such an immediate turn-around that Kiffin has lead at FAU. I am confused about getting votes in the top 25. I am confused about the future. I am still trying to make sense of this.

Have to go with FAU. It will be closer than the next regular season game, for sure, but Singletary will rock and roll and the game's in Boca Raton. I say 34-20.

Defense wins championships. One team doesn't really have a good one. It is tough to beat a team twice, but kiffin seams to have an endless bag of tricks to get the job done. FAU in a route.

North Texas could just as easily be 5-7 as 9-3, as four of their wins were by an aggregate 10 points (3, 3, 3, and 1). FAU won one game (over Marshall) by 5 points, and all their other wins were by 14 or more points.
That said, even if it's a close game, I think North Texas loses this time. Credit to UNT for finding ways to win the close ones, but I think you can only dodge a bullet so many times, right? Should be high scoring, and I favor FAU in a shootout.

FAU needs to leave yesterday's game behind. That effort will not get us a victory over UNT. That was sloppy bad. I guess, if we are to have a bad game at this stage of the season, it is better that it was against Charlotte. Need to get it out of our system. That team better not show up in Boca in six days.

Beating a team twice is hard because they can make adjustments and you don't want to change anything.
But unless you can find 5 new players on D who can tackle and play with some physicality it won't change.
The crazy part of the 69-31 game is it was not even that close as they scored a couple late TDs vs 3rd team guys.
