If this officiating crew is not fired after this game then the Commissioner and the head of officials need to be fired.

Agreed.
They've called SMU for 4 penalties for 35 yards.
They've called Memphis for 10 penalties for 122 yards.
I'm sure HC Mike Norvell and AD Tom Bowen will put in a call to the league office over the officiating.

The roughing the passer call that was followed by the unsportsmanlike on Coach Norvell was pure baloney. Norvell had a righteous complaint and the refs knew they had blown it, so flagged him too.
After SMU then scored, Norvell bent the ears of two officials for about 5 minutes during a TV timeout. He was still plenty mad. We haven't heard the last of that, I'll bet.

Targeting call was BS, too. One replay angle on ESPNews showed their helmets didn't touch. Not sure why the replay crew didn't see that one. They were asked about it after the game, and said they didn't see that one.

Memphis fans should fell lucky not to get the death penalty. I've never seen so malice in any single sporting event.

*Refs suckage did not effect the final outcome.
The two can stand alone regardless of who won.

Would this be the same Memphis team that got called for only two penalties against Houston (one of which was for being offside on a kickoff)? Scandalous!!!

Having said all of that, the targeting call wasn't on the hit that everyone thought that it was, it was on a hit that occurred prior to the kicker being taken down.
