Really good article from Harry on Caleb Richardson and his journey to ODU. That young man will go far;

Wildman - Is there streaming for the VA Duals that isn't through Flow Wrestling (i.e. - free)?

VA Duals!!!

High school wrestling in the state of VA hasn't been the same for me since they split classes and just about everyone who competes makes the podium/ places nowadays.

Rezoning in the southeastern district ruined a lot of fun also.

A part of me would love for Martin to leave ODU and return to coach his son and start a new high school dynasty in the area. Times have changed, not sure he would be able to do the things he did 20 years ago nowadays.

When I was at ODU, a buddy of mine and I went to the Va Duals to watch Carl Perry wrestle. He was really good. It was a cool event. GB was still the team to beat in VA. Grundy was a good team too, but they were AA I think, but they could hang with anyone.

Monarchs go 2-2 in VA Duals

Grundy was regularly Top 25 overall in the country back then.

ODU vs. Ohio match dual suspended due to injury. https://pilotonline.com/sports/college/old-dominion/article_5d11d116-88f8-545e-ae24-fbcef17c8583.html

Something serious must have taken place. I don't ever recall a dual match being suspended due to an injury of one weight class.

Apparently Austin Reese, the wrestler who suffered the medical emergency, is OK per the Ohio U wrestling twitter, but the hashtag kind of runs contrary to the message:

Twinkie says he's in the hospital but awake and alert.

Latest news report: Reese reportedly stopped breathing and needed resuscitation on the mat, according to a source who talked to ODU coach Steve Martin.

Nice. Looks like we're hosting the MAC Championships;
