As some of you know, I drive a good deal for work. To make drives bearable I like to listen to podcasts. Does anyone have some recommendations. Doesn't matter if they're political or not.

I currently like Dan Carlin and JRE.

I listen to all kinds with all kinds of subjects.

For hunting I listen to Gritty Bowmen, Wired to Hunt, and MeatEater
For sports, I listen to several of the Dirty Mo podcasts and the UFC podcast with Matt Sera and Jim Norton. I also listen to the Jim Norton and Sam Roberts podcast and the Chip Chipperson podacast.

I also listen to the Chief and Shawn Podcast (guys from street outlaws). I also listen to Barbell shrugged.

The podcasts I listen to when driving are-

1. Econtalk- Russ Roberts.
This is the most thoughtful podcast I know. https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/econtalk/id135066958?mt=2
2. The Cracked Podcast https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-cracked-podcast/id689900475?mt=2
3. Science Vs https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/science-vs/id1051557000?mt=2

You are also welcome to listen to my podcast, Too Much Scrolling. We review a movie, book, and some select news every week. We try to be light and fun.

It is too bad you didn't post earlier. Audible just had a sale where you could get 12 book/courses for $100 and a year's subscription. I just listened to two Scott Adams (Dilbert) books. His latest is a nice introduction to persuasion and how Trump won the election. It was fascinating.

Also, keep an eye out for The Great Courses sales. I have taken 20 or so courses. Most are 24 lectures or so and presented by college professors.

Finally, your local library probably subscribes to Overdrive. This is a streaming book service that is no cost to you (other than your local taxes that pay for the library).

Podcasts have made my commute to DC so much more tolerable!

Lately, I've been listening to:

Fantasy Footballers - Multiple episodes per week on fantasy football. I think its definitely improved my season. I'm currently sitting in first place in my league.

This American Life - 1 hour long weekly program consisting of multiple acts on a theme covering a wide range of issues

Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me - NPRs weekly news quiz show

Stuff You Should Know - twice weekly podcast that tackles one subject per show and goes into detail explaining it (e.g. how do allergies work, how hibernation works, why did the easter island civilization collapse, etc..)

Snap Judgement - interesting stories and life experiences told by people to a musical accompaniment

Radiolab - Similar to This American Life, except the stories mostly deal with technology

99% Invisible - Stories about architecture and design that are often missed in regular day life

S-Town - 7 part series produced by the folks who made Serial about an eccentric man living in rural Alabama. I found it extremely interesting

Great thread! I'm subbed to some of these, but really don't like browsing around for new stuff.
A few I've been into lately...
History on Fire - Daniele Bolelli
Canadianity - Taggert and Torrens - (J-Roc from "Trailer Park Boys) comedy, kinda
Tiny Desk Concerts - Audio
Dan Carlin's Hardcore History
