Well written article by someone who was with Weinstein in the beginning. How everyone knew and why everyone let it happen.
Honest explanation of it. Weinstein and Enron have similar roots in how people behave.

I can fully understand why Harvey could endure for so long despite everyone knowing. He effectively used the combination of Carrot and Stick "diplomacy" to encourage people to turn a blind eye due to his largesse to some and an efficiently intimidating side to others. Of course, this mentality is present in all industries outside of Hollywood.
To me at least, it's not the idea that I think Hollywood should be held to a higher standard than everyday people - it's the idea that Hollywood thinks that it has a duty to lecture everyday people about things that they themselves cannot or refuse to improve for themselves. People find it very offensive when the guy with the backyard junkyard lectures you on how you need to clean your place up...

Hillary Clinton just made me seethe every time she talked about Trump being a misogynist. It just brought to mind what her husband had done and how she had been chief attack dog against his victims. Its exactly what Hollywood has been doing.

Yep. Just shut up and do your job - act. Spare me the naive political views you hold that you don't have to live with.............. When I go to a movie/TV show, I'm generally going there as an escape from the everyday humdrum of life.
I don't really care about your politics or religion, etc. In fact, if I think your views suck and are in left field, it takes away from the fantasy I just paid money to enjoy.......

As for his own motivation, a) he feels guilty being so closely associated with it; and b) he's a writer. He's telling a story here.

What is somewhat different with this situation is the blatant preaching of a large group that just kept their mouths shut. Most times when someone has been a witness to some bad stuff......those folks keep a low profile and try and blend into the woodwork.
Not these sanctimonious d-bags. No - they're busy telling everyone else how to live their lives and what team we should be rooting for.........
