WAC basketball: 2017-18 power rankings - CrimsonPhantom - 10-08-2017 11:54 AM Quote:This will be the first season where all the teams are able to compete for the NCAA bid. Which team has the advantage this time? https://bustingbrackets.com/2017/10/07/wac-basketball-power-rankings-for-2017-18-season/ This is a slide show, so here are links to each teams rankings: 8. UMKC Kangaroos/7. Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros 6. Chicago State Cougars/5. Seattle Redhawks 4. Utah Valley Wolverines 3. Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners 2. Grand Canyon Antelopes 1. New Mexico State Aggies Agree? Disagree? RE: WAC basketball: 2017-18 power rankings - NMSUPistolPete - 10-08-2017 01:53 PM On paper, I agree with their assessment about NMSU. But I still need to see our chemistry as a team. He makes mention of Jojo Zamora for NMSU but I'm not sure he will be eligible this season? On sheer veteran leadership, GCU returns most of their squad. So, they should come out of the gates quicker than NMSU and CSUB. I like UVU's team but defense is the question mark. Again, the writer confuses Conner Toolson with Jake Toolson. And, he made no mention of 7'0 Akolda Manyang. They are actually in a pattern where they finish either 3 or 4 and then finish 6th. How the roster is set up I think they could finish 3rd the following year. This year my money is on 6th. Kinda weird knowing what my team will do in opposite years. RE: WAC basketball: 2017-18 power rankings - SeattleVandals - 10-08-2017 05:07 PM Im not sure this guy did any research into Seattle U. Zero mention of Hayford being hired and a lazy assessment of how theres no clear new scorer. Hayford brought in Gittens for that and its like they don't realize WAC FOY Matej Kavas is back. The rank of 5 is fine, but they did no research into SU |
