Cincy +5.5 @ Miami OH - fedale - 09-12-2017 05:08 PM

What am I missing about this game?

Miami is not good, Cincy is not bad

Explain that line.

You're missing the "Cincy is not bad" assertion. We're kinda bad.

True.

But, you're not Miami OH Redhawks bad... not a lot of teams are that kind of bad.

But no one is out that normally wouldn't be? I want to absolutely destroy the line Im just making sure.

Nope. The team is healthy. The Michigan game gave many of us a better outlook on the season, but the QB and line are concerns.

Awesome, thanks!

Also a good amount of us will be making the trip up on the 30th. Can't wait for a late September game in Cincinnati!

Cincy will pound Ohio and we will never hear the end of it

Bearcats#1 going to plant a flag midfield like Oklahoma did to OSU?

RE: Cincy +5.5 @ Miami OH - Bearcats#1 - 09-12-2017 08:48 PM

Miami OH hasn't beat us in 11 straight.

They are improved, we are rebuilding. It's at Miami OH

Blind squirrel has to find the acorn once in a while. This is their best chance to beat us in over a decade. Hence the line.

UC belongs in the MAC.

They would probably finish somewhere between Eastern Michigan and Akron in the MAC East...or the MAC West.

They arent ready for G6.

Its Sad. Really Sad.

RE: Cincy +5.5 @ Miami OH - UofToledoFans - 09-12-2017 09:08 PM

Miami won 6 straight to end last season then lost their bowl game very close to a mid to bottom SEC Miss St. team. They started the season in bad loss to Marshall, then rebounded and beat Austin Peay about the same as UC. Should be a good game.... home team as the favorite? 4 win AAC team versus about a 7 win Miami team if we are predicting the season? I see them as equal.

Im actually surprised that cincy is an underdog. I know every season is different so you can't really use it as a measuring stick but the way you guys played Michigan would make me think it should be cincy who is favored.

Nobody has said this directly... This is a "rivalry" game. It's more a "rivalry" for Miami than for UC at this point. In any "rivalry" game, you throw away the records, but at this particular moment in time, Miami is likely to bring their "A" game and UC is more likely to be "average."

Anything can happen with this one.

So, it is interesting to note that two AAC teams are underdogs against MAC teams on the road. I wonder what the spreads would be if these games were being played at Nippert and at Tulsa?

I attended UC vs Miami in Oxford maybe 6-8 years ago when UC had one of their better teams in the Big East. Miami's stadium is a glorified HS stadium and they couldn't even fill it for that game. I'd imagine Miami still has no home field advantage whatsoever, so the oddsmakers must think they're a legitimately better team than UC this year.

I'd take UC and maybe 3 or 4 points at home.

Tulsa at home would probably be a toss-up.

Let's see South Alabama gives Okla St as good ...excuse as bad as a game as Tulsa did...I think Tulsa finishes somewhere below S Alabama in the mighty Sunbelt Conference standings and SE La drops 42 points on you...It's sad...really sad...I guess you are 1-1 in the Sunbelt Conference

RE: Cincy +5.5 @ Miami OH - UofToledoFans - 09-13-2017 12:29 PM

You dont have a 10 point swing for being the home team.... Toledo would be favored on the road as well. Maybe by 5 points but still favored...
