Seriously, I think you can make a compelling case to round up all of the reps and senators who willingly expanded spending from the year 2000 thru 2017 and try them for treason against the U.S. for destroying the country from within. Then, they should all be hung from the neck until dead.

Can I have their heads for putting on pikes? I need a new fence to hide my garbage and recycling cans.

Yep, crossed over on the 8th. It was $19.95T when Trump was sworn in, surprised it took this long.

Well, then you probably need to try all of us who voted for them then as well. 03-wink This is a representative republic and we kept on putting them back in office and did not really hold them accountable.

The political parties minimized choice to such an extent that the hands of the electorate were basically tied. We were at the mercy of political parties. With that in mind, then I circle back to the notion that our elected officials are STILL much more culpable in this than the electorate.

Perhaps, but there is still a vast vast amount of idiots who will only vote all D or all R. Plus, politicians don't re-elect themselves at a 90%+ rate. We do. Our elected representatives are truly a representative of a lazy, uninformed, and ignorant electorate.

The only problem is that they are the lawmakers.

National debt increased $7.97 trillion under Obama...68% increase. Now liberals are debt hawks all of the sudden.

Obama isn't the only person to blame. I get that he is a wasteful ass. But why did we need a department of homeland security? Why did we need two unfunded wars? Why was TSA role expanded? Could we not reduce the annual 550 billion dollar budget for the military?
