I doubt there will be much discussion on this game unless it should go badly for UNT, but I wanted to get a thread started regardless.
I expect this to be an easy Mean Green win and I hope to see an impressive performance from both our offense and defense to help me feel better about the matchup with SMU in game 2.

So far I like what I see. Only problem is that SMU is taking it to SFA worse than we're doing to Lamar and SFA is a far better team than Lamar. That worries me.

Last night was a good start to the season, but I don't think we learned too much about North Texas. We ran a very vanilla offense and defense. We did some good things, and played lots of back-ups, but we also made a few mistakes, which is to be expected in an opener. Lamar was dealing with more issues then any program should be have. It was a good win. Any win in the season opener is good. But we won't really see what we have until we kick it off with SMU next Saturday. This week's episode of Beyond the Green should be fun to watch on Thursday.

I left the UNT - Lamar game in the middle of the 3rd quarter. Really felt sorry for the Lamar team and what they left behind to play in Denton.
