What to do with this game in Vegas - csstevem - 08-23-2017 10:11 AM

I will be in LV for the NIU BC game, not sure what to do. The spread is BC-2.5 and the over under is 46. Thinking about hitting the under hard as BC should be able to shut down the NIU running game and without Galladay and with Graham I am not comfortable that NIU will score much.

BC is far from a powerhouse offensive team but I am having a hard time seeing NIU winning against a team with the 13th rated front seven defense. So I think the under at 46 maybe a strong bet. However I also do not see NIU winning this one.

However I really want to cheer on my Huskies. I have a classic NIU Huskie on my arm, have two huskies at home in Georgia and want to have fun.

Any thoughts............

Please no spelling or English corrections. I am a long time ago grad with an accounting background and my thought or hiking the mountains of Utah and gaming in LV.

FWIW:

I like under also as I think this will be an ugly "taffy-pull" of a game.
Something like 23-20.....Huskies.

Maybe it's the kool-aid but somehow we get back to being tough at home.
The D and FGs win this one for us.

Good luck in LV 04-cheers

I bet the Huskies a lot and they usually cover. I think Huskies beat BC... funny feeling maybe. In fact I talked to a pit boss and he mentioned the Huskies by name for a team that he usually bets on, and he had a lot of info and back fill and was right.

Beat BC!

Better have a lead vs BC at the half. I think this is a year where NIU will actually be a better 1st half team than a 2nd half team.

NIU will fall behind early and it will take Carey too long to replace Graham, and we'll lose 24-21 after Santa leads three TD drives.

I'll give you a billion dollars if Santa leads 3 TD drives next Friday

If late money pushes huskies to +4 I would bet on niu. If not I don't want to touch it. I hate betting the under given the unknown with special teams. Look at how we scored on BC last year for example.

If you have a billion dollars on you there's this little stadium project going on at NIU....

He's probably got his $5 bet on "Santa leads 3 td drives" at +200000000

Just bet NIU on the money line so you don't have to concern yourself with backdooring into covering a spread or staying under/going over totals.

As a fan, I dislike when my rooting interests conflict with my betting interests. Just be a fan and hope you cash in a winning ticket for plus money if NIU can manage to come out on top in this game.

Well i took NIU plus three a small wager, I really want to cheer for NIU. The under will not post until Monday and I will be in St George Utah for some hiking, hopefully it stays around 46.

Any thoughts on the illness -7.5 with Ball St (line started at -11.5) and WM +28 with USC. EMU is also going like hot cakes out here.

I'd definitely take WMU. That's huge.

RE: What to do with this game in Vegas - NIUSAE - 08-25-2017 09:29 AM

Wouldn't touch WMU. Freshman QB and new wide receivers against a top 5 team. QB will be lucky if he gets out of there injury free.

USC plays in the coliseum

I think it would be more humane to go to the Coliseum in Rome and watch the lions maul the gladiators.

Run away, don't play and be happy if they win.

+1. Don't bet on teams that you have any sort of emotional investment in. There are hundreds of other games to get action on.

Take Wyoming +12 against Iowa (Iowa doesn't blow many teams out with their style of play) Also take Florida +4 against Michigan.

Florida has like their entire team suspended for the game against Michigan
