I think 8-4 is possible. I also think a win at Indiana is possible. We'll know more after Auburn and UNH. I also agree that @Troy, @App, @Louisiana are probable losses.

I'm gonna say

worst case is another 5-7 season with losses to Auburn, Indiana, A-State, App, Troy, Lousiana, and USA

Best case 9-3 with our only losses to Auburn, App, and Troy

And most likely case would be 7-5 with a trip to the Cure Bowl in December

Offseason was full of pessimism. There's a new energy in camp. An 8-4 season with a redshirt freshman QB would be great. 2018 is set up to be a good year. I think having Auburn and UNH pus a bye week before Indiana is very advantageous for the Eagles.

Good read to get insight into your program. I see y'all going 7-5. I would say he's prediction is close but that you beat UL and lose to stAte and Indiana. Really hope I am wrong about Indiana. Good luck this season and see y'all in 2018 (or maybe a super random match up in the conference championship this year).

Arkansas State will also have 10 days to be ready for the eagles. See you there!

7-5 or 8-4 we are not jumping for joy but the pitchforks get put back in the closet especially with a bowl win. 2018 is the make or break year for CTS I believe, he will have zero excuses. To many unknowns this year to predict anything about GS. We will know really after Indiana as they are just a really good G5 team. Even if we struggle with a decent UNH FCS team we have a bye week to work out the bugs before IU. If we get blown out by IU it is going to be armageddon barring an 2016 ArkSt type comeback.

You're trivializing Indiana as a football team. They aren't at the top of the B10, but they are perfectly capable. Can we win it? Of course, but you're making it sound like they're the Savannah State of the P5. They'll be the equivalent of the NCState team from a couple years ago. Perfectly winnable, but everything has to be clicking.

They did not beat one team with a winning record last year and have had one winning season since 1995. Saying they are a really good G5 level team is exactly what they are because that all they beat really is G5 teams and P5 teams that are down. Also I never said anything about being the favorite going in or winning that game. They are certainly a bottom tier P5 in every way, that does not mean they are at the bottom of the FBS. Last I checked there were 130+/- teams and they would be somewhere in the middle. They are not WVA, UGA, Ole Miss or GT and we were only blown out in one of those without our starting QB in the first game of the year. If we get blown out it will be a very bad sign.
