Making a rather late decision to go to the UM game with my wife and maybe another couple. Anyone have recommendations on where to stay or where to sit?
Hotels in downtown Ann Arbor seem to be sold out the weekend of our game. Can I stay to the south and maybe take a taxi in?
And is there a bad seat in the house? I don't care that I might not be sitting with UC fans; I'm just going to grab tickets off stubhub or seatgeek.
Is there a formal UC tailgate I should check out? Any other general tips?

I'm considering doing this with a group of friends. Casinos in Windsor and exploring Detroit.
I'm a little shocked UC isn't putting together something more organized for the Michigan weekend or at least promoting it more

There are a few hotels within 5 miles that still seem to have availability. Also some Airbnb rentals.

I'm heading up as it's only about a half hour drive from my home outside of Toledo. I think Senior and I are the only Toledo posters up here, not sure what his plans are yet.

A group of four of us are going from Cleveland. As it is a noon game we will easily do an up and back in the same day.

Make sure to grab some Packo's for dinner on your way back through Toledo after the game. There should be one open by then in Maumee (where 23 and the Turnpike intersect).

Been planning on going for a long time, should have bought tickets from UC when they were offered. I am surprised at the cost of tickets at the Big House.
I have some friends that live in Ann Arbor, so I'll be staying with them.

got a huge group (about 20 people) sitting row 12 behind endzone. cant wait!!! dont even care what final score, should be amazing experience. def planning some kinda huge Cincy tailgate somewhere. hopefully the school or someone can coordinate getting all Cincy fans in one general area

Michigan's tailgating situation is weird as hell considering a majority of their fans park at a local high school, at houses around the area, or on their campus golf course (which is a hell of a place to play when not being completely destroyed by football fans...just finished their new clubhouse and 9-18 approach). It might be worthwhile to see if they sell any tailgate blocks for visitors in their few surface lots, because it may be pretty hard to organize one in either of the large parking areas (Pioneer HS or the course) because of how much they pack everyone in.

I would find a UM message board and ask questions there. I went to 1 game there and we parked in someone's front yard. Decent walk to the stadium also.
