Why? You're going into your junior year as a surefire starter with a rising program... don't know what his NFL prospects were, but he had a chance. Worst-case scenario, he was getting a free college education. He's innocent until proven guilty, but if any of this is true, bye-bye.

He definitely had a shot at playing on Sunday's. He had four picks last year and was our best corner with two years to go. Not his first run in with the law and if convicted of aggravated robbery he will be looking at a minimum of 3 years in the pokey.

Whenever I see stuff like this it reminds me of Akise Teague...too bad, if you're that stupid, someone else deserves your spot. There are 40,000 other students trying to get that degree who don't point guns at people, it's not that hard.

According to the story, he was present to knock on a door to get someone to come out so his partner could confront him. The incident continued and he was then chasing the victim down a hallway. Sounds like he's already admitted to the police that he was involved (right after they read him his Miranda rights).
Seems like an open and shut case.

ESPN picked the story up and it popped up on the front page of Yahoo when I visited a few minutes ago. Always upsetting when a knucklehead brings shame to our university.

Saw Sporting News, SI and other outlets as well. Look it was a bad move-- but I don't get all the coverage. We are constantly told our program doesn't move the meter nationally, yet national outlets and a newspaper in Cleveland have picked the story up.
Perhaps our school moves the meter a little more than people think/constantly tell us. As idiotic as Thomas is in all this, this is not really a sexy crime that merits much coverage outside of the city if we are being honest.
