Marshall Hires New Softball Coach - HerdZoned - 06-28-2017 03:00 PM

Marshall names Jacksonville University Dolphins head coach Jennifer Steele as the new head softball coach replacing Shonda Stanton.

Jennifer Steele Named As Marshall's Softball Head Coach

I know nothing about her as of yet. I'm pretty sure FIU or FAU have played a series or two with Jacksonville the past 3 years. Any of you have any insight on her

What happened to your old coach ?

We only played Jacksonville once during her tenure, beat them. However, I'm not sure if Coaching a 5th place ASun team gets you anything.

Shonda Stanton had basically done all she could. She was at Marshall for 18 years, 1999-2017. I wish her nothing but the best at Indiana, that is unless the Hoosiers want to play Marshall.

Steele won 89 games in 3 years at Jacksonville and considering they had only 2 winning seasons before she got there it seems like she done a decent job there. That's aprx 29 wins each of her 3 seasons at JU.
