Yes, they're already P5. And their stadium probably feels old (built in 1921) and needs work. But that's somewhat jawdropping, and it begs the question that Rice needs to ask as part of this strategy to step up - are they ready to invest to compete? Because it feels like this might be a comparable for Rice - Rice may easily be well into that 9-figure range for future football investments if they want to be a P5 program, even with Paterson now built.
