RE: Temple Football Recruiting - rath v2.0 - 06-27-2017 03:23 PM

UC has had a busy 24 hours picking up 5 new commitments all of whom have P5 offers. A few of those 5 new commitments also had offers from Temple which makes it pertinent to this thread.

Per 247, as of today UC's class is #1 in the AAC and #36 nationally. Houston had been #1 but a lot of that was based on the fact they have 19 recruits signed.

Rivals has Houston #1, SMU #2 but based primarily on them having more recruits than anyone else.

Per average star, USF is #1 and Cinci #2.

Long way to go but good start for the teams mentioned.

I'm pleasantly surprised with what Chad has accomplished the past few weeks

PA freak WR/TE David Martin-Robinson commits to Temple over Maryland, Rutgers, Air Force, and ODU.

Temple gets another commit from 3 star DE Dante Burke. Had offers from UMD, Rutgers, GT, and a bunch of G5. New staff is killing it.

Nice too that he plays at Bishop Sullivan here (VA Beach). Not a bad deal to get a foot in the door of that place.

This is the second year for that program to be "it" locally ... the head coach at Ocean Lakes High School took the job to at BSCHS and an avalanche of transfers there. A huge number signed last year and committed this year to 1-A. They're playing a national schedule of DeMatha MD, IMG Academy in FL, etc.

Really good news. There was some worry that the new staff would have to re-learn the footprint but they are getting solid recruits out of the gate.

We should be equal with everyone when Justin Johnson commits.

Doubt temple will keep up once all those unranked guys get their ranking. At least on a per star average basis.

It seems we are all recruiting better, congrats. It's great for the league, now win those OOC games.

We'll see. Still in on several mid to high 3* recruits, several of whom are 85+. 2 of our unrated commits are 3* on Rivals, and Elijah Clark is going to eventually get bumped up to a 3*.

RE: Temple Football Recruiting - JHG722 - 07-07-2017 06:00 PM

Temple commit Christian Barmore picks up an offer from Oregon. He should be bumped up to a 3* soon.

RE: Temple Football Recruiting - rosewater - 07-12-2017 05:46 PM

Is this the "official recruiting thread." Very little talk in this cycle about recruiting. It looks like we(Cincy) are narrowing in on former Michigan recruit Atwaun Johnson. This has been a great year so far. ECU, you better get us this season or it may never happen.

RE: Temple Football Recruiting - JHG722 - 07-17-2017 02:42 PM

247 almost done evaluating Temple's class. Up to 3rd in the AAC and 53rd overall. Kinda surprised they haven't evaluated Christian Barmore yet. I'm guessing UCF ends up 2nd and we end up 3rd or 4th.

RE: Temple Football Recruiting - vaNtR - 07-17-2017 08:03 PM

Collins has done a very good job with his first class in my opinion.
