Note, currently there is no #84 on the JMU official roster at jmusports.com. I have no idea what Eldridge's jersey number will ultimately be this fall.

Eldridge is from Bealeton and played HS ball at Kettle Run HS. He caught 2 TD passes last year, including one being an 84-yd strike against Duke, for a poor Virginia team. When he announced his departure from the UVA program, I recall him stating he wanted to be more than a deep ball threat and wanted to run more of a full route tree. Perhaps he also got tired of losing and wants to win. He should immediately compete for a starting job or at minimum provide depth with a lot of playing time. Important for him and Schor to get on the same page over the summer.

Welcome to JMU Nation to David and good luck this season. Get ready to win!

(once his bio is loaded at JMU Sports I will try to update this post with better purple-oriented info)
