I see Tigers winning this game. Not bad, but biased of course. Still, not a bad read.

I'll be driving up from Dallas for the game. Hope to see some old friends. Quick question...will this game be a sell-out? Also, has game time been determined yet? Night? Day?

Go Tigers!

Gonna be a big weekend for Memphis. Tigers take down Bruins on Saturday and Bruno Mars performs on Sunday night. Great representative of good Memphis music influence by Boo Mitchell's studio.

Thankfully, the plug has been pulled on DJ Paul and his ilk.

Very nice overview, but the kid needs an editor.

We will beat UCLA and I will witness it live.

What a horrible attempt at journalism.

Yep, I try to make all the home games & 1-2 away games. But with GA St on the schedule here in Atlanta, I will likely make 3 away games including UH & UCF if all goes as planned. Seems going in that our season success will, to a large extent, depend on the performance of the defense. Of course injury avoidance is also very important to success & some breaks here & there. 9-3 in the benchmark for my expectations & represents a very successful season. Anything better is great, over-achieving. West champions/conference champs, all within reasonable possibilities & I hope to be there for all of it!

Based on my current work experience grammar and spelling are not as important as they used to be. Diversity is more important.

I'm glad I'm old. I can't imagine what life will be like in 50 years when millennial's kids run the planet.

So you are saying people of color can't spell or construct a sentence?

My grandfather said that about us baby boomers. They will learn once the safe places are a distant memory.

I have no idea of the ethnic make up of anyone on here or of the writer. All I know is what they taught me in Journalism school at the U of M.
1. Use good grammar and spelling. If you are not sure of the spelling, look the word up in the dictionary or use spell check.
2. Always have someone with good spelling and grammar skills proof your work for errors BEFORE publishing it.
3. Assume that if you have errors in grammar or spelling and you publish the article, readers will consider you to A. Be uneducated B. Be sloppy C Have poor English skills D. Worse...that your a complete idiot or very careless and thus... probably got the story wrong too.

Again, you don't have a clue. I've seen two managers whose native language is not english argue in english over something they actually agreed on but were both unable to understand. It wastes time and money in business.

From UC Berkley study:

Negative Impacts of Workplace Diversity
- Unresolved Conflict
- Poor Communication
- Turnover
- Time and Money

Quote:IT HAS BECOME increasingly popular to speak of racial and ethnic diversity as a civic strength. From multicultural festivals to pronouncements from political leaders, the message is the same: our differences make us stronger.

But a massive new study, based on detailed interviews of nearly 30,000 people across America, has concluded just the opposite. Harvard political scientist Robert Putnam -- famous for "Bowling Alone," his 2000 book on declining civic engagement -- has found that the greater the diversity in a community, the fewer people vote and the less they volunteer, the less they give to charity and work on community projects. In the most diverse communities, neighbors trust one another about half as much as they do in the most homogenous settings. The study, the largest ever on civic engagement in America, found that virtually all measures of civic health are lower in more diverse settings.

Go Tigers!

Curious what network....ABC or FOX? Couldn't fathom what a WIN would do in recruiting boost....CMN recognition....P5 aspirations....NY6 considerations....Heisman votes....etc! the game is also very EARLY in the season, so with a W, the water cooler talk would be OFF THE Richter scale..... So, to complete the season as the way it would started. CMN would have done the MOST AMAZING job of keeping players humbled and FOCUSED as I would have EVER seen!!!

I'm coming up from HOUSTON
