Little Rock hosts Georgia State in a crucial three game series this weekend. The Trojans are currently tied with Georgia State in the standings, and have a two game lead on Monroe. Georgia State will end the regular season hosting Georgia Southern, Monroe will end with the Cajuns, and we end at Jonesboro.
If Little Rock can win this weekend's series, they would have a one game lead over Georgia State and the tiebreaker going into the season ending series at ASU next week for the last spot in the SBC Tournament. If the Trojans could sweep Georgia State, then they would be on really solid ground to make the tournament.
If the Trojans lose this weekend's series, they are likely eliminated from the tournament, and if they get swept, they are almost certainly toast. If you ever thought about going out to Gary Hogan Field to root on the baseball team, one of the games this weekend would be a great time to do it!
