Frontier:

I'm still bemused that Southwest hasn't added Denver to Memphis considering Frontier's success on that route. This should have been a Southwest route as well.

Sure sounds like Frontier is going to add Orlando as well. Amazing how many nonstops to Orlando Memphis could have at certain times of the year between Southwest, Allegiant and maybe Frontier. I think Delta still does a seasonal nonstop on Saturday as well.
Still think Jet Blue to Boston and Ft. Lauderdale are no brainers

Is it a lack of desire to create it or are the at capacity in gates in Denver? Is it worth competing with Frontier?

Southwest has been retiring lots of planes but that's wrapping up and they are now taking new deliveries from Boeing. They supposedly switched to a new system over the weekend that will allow for more flexible flight scheduling so we could see them addmore less than daily flights soon. Southwest is at a point in Memphis with daily flights to Chi, Balt/DC, Dal, Hou, Orlando, and Tampa. If they add what I think are kinda no brainers like Vegas, Denver and Fort Lauderdale, that would jack them up to 9 destinations. If they add a west coast city or two and you are really getting into focus city territory and they do connections at those. Not a hub but connecting happens.

MEM looks to have added over 13,000 passengers this March over last. That's healthy.

I know that said they wouldn't do the Southwest finger of the B concourse reno till they hit 3,000,000 a year but that may be sooner than later.

Jet Blue and Alaska have to be taking notice.
