Marshall unveils new football locker room - CoachMaclid - 04-23-2017 10:50 PM

Dedicated to former Herd all-CUSA Vinny Curry (current Philadelphia Eagle), Marshall has opened a new football locker facility in conjunction with the Green-White game this weekend, which ended up being played in our Indoor Practice Facility due to weather. Video below gives some views of the new enhancement around Marshall football.

Each locker also honors a past Marshall football player. Ive seen Ted Shoebridge (QB of the 1970 team, was on flight 932). Byron Leftwich and Mark Snyder on lockers.

Vinny had no idea that the locker room was gonna be dedicated to him.

Congrats on the new locker room. Very nice. USM's new locker room that opened last year has had a definite affect on recruits and I am sure the new Marshall one will also. Have to ask, did Curry help fund the new locker room?

Apparently he made a $200k contribution. He didn't know the locker room was being named after him until Saturday.

Vinny's been very visible supporting Marshall since he went pro. We wears #75 for the Eagles as homage to the Marshall 75 on the plane crash. He's been back to Huntington several times since.

Truth is we have been very lucky in that department. We have several players that are either retired or still in pros that come back to campus, often. Chad Pennington owns one of Marshall's club seating and he always has 2 or 3 former players there each week. You can always see Troy Brown and Tim Martin at games since they live in and around Huntington. Omar Brown was at 2 games I know of last year, one with Albert McClellan on his bye week. Those are just a few I can think of.
