That record will probably look pretty similar at the end if next season, unfortunately

Earl Barron played in the NBA for like 12 years. He never contributed, but he got himself a ring with the Heat. He and Kelly Wise are way better than what we've got now.

Talent-wise that team is way ahead of our team this year I fear

RE: Starting lineup of last Memphis team with a losing record: - tigersroll - 04-11-2017 09:11 AM

so basically there were "higher" ranked guys coming out of high school on the bench in London, Moody and Shamel.

That team played a pretty tough schedule too.

There is limited data about the current roster (it is not even completed yet), but the potential exists for a less talented team than the last team experiencing a losing record.

It appears earlier in the season Moody and London started. The team had a big late season win streak that I guess the lineup above was performing well.

It is doubtful that anyone on the roster in November would be better than the kids in the OP

The potential exists?

I would rate it as almost certainty barring late signing period miracle.

Sure everybody could come in and blow us away but that's a lot of freshman and jucos not missing a beat

He didn't but I get your point.

He got a ring and he played on and off several seasons, but most of his pro career has been overseas.

Earl Barron had two things in his favor: being a seven footer and having Cal on his arse and in his corner.

That team was considerably more talented than the one we will put on the floor next year.

Don't be surprised if the record is significantly worse.

Just about everyone on that team, including the bench, would start next year, or at the very least compete for starters minutes. Marcus Moody wasn't even a starter and he'd be hands down the best player on the team next year #roadto200*

And how would you know this? everything is just speculation at this point. We don't know what the incoming players can do. yes that is a scary point, but to base this on NOT knowing is purely subjective.

Personally I hope these incoming 0-3 star high school players and JC transfers come out and outperform the previous 4-5 star players that lead us to 3 straight no season appearances. I really do. They may not, but I'm not gonna sit here and tell you that they definitely wont.

We shall see when the season begins.

Wise was good but you win games with good guards not a great PF or center in college. Those positions, you just need defense, rebounds and put backs.

Let's get real. Dedric Is good. We will miss him. What we can improve on is our guard play. It wasn't good nor consistent this year. I'm beyond irritated with Tubby but If the guard play is improved from last year, we will have at least as good of year as this past season

Shine had a nice career with The Globetrotters.

I've said it numerous times, don't expect for this team to win more than 12-15 games, anything more is a plus
