Set wrong precedent with Nichols. Give the "kids" a vision of real world. Decisions have consequences.
Feel Keelon was forced out but have to have some consequences for leaving.

I could see restriction to AAC schools but the media, locals, fans and dang near everyone went apey when JP did that to Nichols. so they didn't want to go through that headache again. Gotta learn from past experiences.

Why would we want the same story written about the Lawsons? Dedric and KJ played hard, didn't get into trouble, they were good students. Just let it go already.

So we go from denying releases to a full release. I always thought a release was limited to outside the conference and off the schedule for the upcoming year. From one extreme to another, makes sense.
Just think if we had fired pastner before the lawsons came in, then the new coach could have made this decision about hiring keelon so we could get his kids here. We could have avoided this mess. It's just another way "those in charge" who want to remain anonymous have f'ed up our program.
I'll bet you the payout of pastner would have not looked that bad compared to all the lost revenue and pushing the program further down the hole.
I blame those in charge whoever they are. If you guys don't like tubby, that's fine. But he is not the one who killed tiger basketball.
The blame should lay on the shoulders of "those in charge" and those fans who blindly supported the clown coach until he ran the program into the ground and the clown coach known as josh pastner. What we are doing now is dealing with the bad decision not to can pastner much earlier. But hey, we were too concerned about getting into a conference that would have imploded if we did get in it.

I guess it's possible he'll go to another AAC team, but just how likely?

How experienced can you be if you're sitting on a 'Mother Lode' but you either don't recognize it or don't care?
It just makes no sense at all that the Administration would have let Tubby get a year into this job without a discussion concerning coaching & recruiting goals.
