Where did you live? - JMU83 - 04-06-2017 10:51 AM

Since Dukester's "Years Since Graduation" is up to 9 pages, I thought I'd compete.

1979--Weaver
1980--Gifford--3rd floor--4 in a room--massive loft
1981--Gifford--basement
1982--Squire Hill

We'll see who the old farts are by how long they lived on campus.

I was in Eagle 2005-06, Wampler 06-07, Southview 07-09. Eagle was a true experience, had to keep the window open even in winter because the heat was too high, 3 AM fire alarms, at least one nonworking elevator each weekend. Wampler was luxurious in comparison, quad living at its finest!

87-91
Hanson
Hanson (keg through the basement and up, took a little effort)
Olde Mill
Olde Mill...I believe it's now referred to as "the mill", but they were brand new when we moved in. Lots of finishing nails went into those walls. Each holding a plastic keg lid. Seems like we could get a keg of beast for around $25, sometimes splurge on Busch

RE: Where did you live? - CvilleDukes - 04-06-2017 11:34 AM

91-92 HoJo's
92-93 The Commons
93-94 Olde Mill

RE: Where did you live? - JMU_71 - 04-06-2017 11:35 AM

1993-1994 Hillside (we had rats living in the bushes outside our 1st floor room--spent most weekends at Eagle or in the village)
1994-1995 Hanson (good times!)
1995-1996 Gifford (Coach Wood made players stay on campus for three years if they were on scholarship)
1996-1998 Madison Manor (good times!)

Certain dorms had their nicknames. Since I lived next door to Converse for 2 years, it was known as the Convent. All girls, no visitation, no alcohol.

02-03, 03-04 Chesapeake. 4th Floor shout out over those 2nd floor bums. Shout out also to DirtyDukes on the opposite end of the hallway
04-05 1/4 Wayland Hall (RIP DUKESLaw), then 3/4 Oak Hall
05-06 townhouse in the county
06-07 College Station (Reservoir street, not Texas)
07-10 Maryland Ave, more subtly known now as Drumline unfortunately

I had a rather diverse portfolio, but never in a "managed" apartment complex.
