I just don't understand why a team should gain by fouling. In the last two minutes........ change the rule so that the team fouled gets the free shots AND the ball out of bounds. Like a technical foul.

Stop all of the ridiculous fouling, to make the opposing team shoot free throws and hope they miss.

But what if it's a 1 point game and it's not an intentional foul? You want refs making a judgement call like that?

Then do not foul. You do have a point, so maybe one free shot and the ball out of bounds would be better. Just stop the current system. When it is obvious the foul is intentional call intentional.

Thats just stupid. Does the team with the lead also held to those rules? If they foul does the trailing team get FT and the ball? If not then you just gave a huge advantage to have the slimmest of leads. What about tie games?

It does not matter who has the lead or at what time in the game. Its the same rule for both teams all game long. If a team gets fouled, the team that gets fouled shoots its free throw and then gets the ball back. Its pretty straight forward.

Thats just silly. Why are fouls in the last two minutes more important than the rest of the game? A ticky tock hand check foul in a close game can pretty much seal the deal. Thats beyond ridiculous. Thank god it will never EVER happen.

Get rid of the held ball rule and make it a turnover

- International 3-point line.
- 2 timeouts in first half; 3 timeouts in second half, but only 2 timeouts in the last 2 minutes of the 2nd half (use it or lose it).
- NIT foul reset rule, but 1-and-1 bonus free throws at 4th and 5th fouls; double bonus at 6+ fouls. (likely to reduce the number of foul shots down the stretch and I missed the 1-and-1 attempts in the NIT)
- OT = 1-and-1 bonus at 1st and 2nd fouls; double bonus at 3+ fouls.
- keep normal shot clock at 30 seconds, but 20 seconds when ball inbounded in the front court and after offensive rebound.

Those are reasonable.
