Hello,
I would like to thank everyone for participating in last year’s Spring BBQ contest and would like to let everyone know we are going to create some smoke again this year.
With Memphis football’s spring practices in full swing, I know everyone is looking forward to Friday Night Stripes, Blue – Gray game that is set for Friday, April 14th at the Liberty Bowl.
Along with the Blue – Gray game, the Highland Hundred will be hosting the Spring Game BBQ Rib contest during the day prior to the game. The BBQ contest is intended to be a fun competition and is meant to show our Memphis football players what Memphis BBQ is all about.
You will be cooking for competition and to feed our Memphis Tigers after the game like last year.
If you would like to compete in the BBQ Rib contest this year here is some information.
Entry fee is $100 per team
Each team will be designated 4 adjacent Tiger Lane spaces for your cooking area
All ribs for the competition and to feed the players are provided by the Highland Hundred
Deadline to enter is Monday, April 7th
Contest field will be capped at 25 teams due to space.
At this point, all we need is to respond with a (Yes or No) that you will participate and your Team Name. Some of you have already responded and we thank you!!!
I will be sending out the updated registration forms to all of you in the next two weeks.
Please pass this on to others that would like to participate.

TBA. I tried to look it up the other day and just now and found nothing anywhere.
Hopefully they got DJ devin steel on the payroll still. I'm looking forward to the nonstop blaring rap music while the tigers do their thing.

The Tiger web site still leaves a lot to be desired. The next big football event should be in a huge banner. But I do have a feeling the Admin doesn't really care for the Tiger spring game. If you want a thousand people to show up, why do you not publicize the time, place, and event??? Not everyone belongs to the HH.
They could use a Regular Joe consultant who looks at things from the outside.

Not sure when, but I hear they're moving it to the grounds at Parchman so the HC can be an active participant.

So anyways, enough of the nerd talk.
Back to tiger football, i have noticed or maybe i'm doing something wrong, but gotigersgo hasn't posted any news links about tiger football since 2/28/17.
I looked back over the last year or so, and there are news links every 5-10 days at least. Last year, gotigersgo announced the time of the spring game on march 21 for a game being held on april 22.
Our 2017 spring game is on april 14. That 22 days away. My guess is the actual spring game kickoff time will be 7pm like last year with events starting at 5pm.
