Big non. conf week matchups for CUSA this week. Another chance for us to move the conference RPI up:
USM vs. Mississippi State
Marshall vs. Tennessee
FAU vs. Miami
Charlotte vs. Wake Forrest
UAB vs. Alabama
WKU vs. Kentucky
Rice. vs Texas AM
I predict we go 4-3. Wins vs MSU, Miami, Wake Forrest, and Alabama.

Charlotte's game against Wake Forest is at the Triple A Knights ballpark in Uptown Charlotte. Wake is sitting at 18 in the RPI and it will hopefully be a good game. If the weather holds off, there should be a decent crowd.

It's just a midweek game, but a W would shut up the insufferable SEC dudebros in Suburban Jackson.

No it wouldn't. They'd just complain about how it was a midweek game and you used your ace pitcher (no matter who you actually use) which in their minds should be illegal because apparently midweek games don't matter. They'll also say "if we can't even beat these teams, how will we beat actual good teams?"

It seems like Tommy John surgery is simply a part of every pitcher's life at this point.
It used to be rare.
