The end of the Wichita game was interesting - 3601 - 03-19-2017 07:08 PM

Down 3 and the opposing coach didn't foul. It worked out this time, but I was really expecting a foul based on history and previous comments.

Also, the Wichita shooter had a golden opportunity to draw a foul on the 3 pointer, but didn't really take advantage of the defender jumping in the air.

All in all a great game.

Agreed. All he had to do was jump into him once the defender was airborne. Game blouses.

He still would have needed to hit 3 of 3 FT just to get to OT, but the opportunity was there.

Search for story of marshall's wife post game behavior

10 years later and I still want to puke everytime Cal wins a big game like this. Hoping they lose soon so I can enjoy the rest of the tournament.

You think that was the play (drawn up)? Looked to me like he should have at least tried to give the rock up

They knew it was going to be a battle from the opening tip. Both teams came out over-hyped and too tight. Missed a lot of shots before calming down and playing a good game. I no longer have the animosity for UK. But was pulling for WS like I typically do these days. Living vicariously through WS, Zags, Butler, Dayton.

It's not about disliking Kentucky. It's about disliking Cal. I'll root for him to lose every game he coaches.

I wonder if his old lady's antics had anything to do with us not hiring him? There are probably a lot of things going on behind the scenes that some of our resident "experts" never even consider before posting who they would have hired.

White boy on the wing should have curled to the top of the key and taken a handoff pass? I think I'be seen that work before in a similar situation.

They panicked in those last two possessions

All in all a great game.

Wichita's other guard was wide open in the corner because the Kentucky player that blocked the shot came over to double-team the shooter. I'm not sure if there was enough time for a pass & a shot, though.

I do agree - the shooter was trying to get the shot off, not draw a foul. He had a great opportunity to get to the line because both Kentucky defenders left their feet.

UK went into big boy mode and made sure they were not going to get a shot off.

Refs would have swallowed the whistle. They typically do at the end of games - and almost always do when the call will go against blueblood.

Did you notice how the refs tried to get Duke back in the game last night?

There was no doubt who was taking the last shot. Adebayo left his man wide open in the corner to double-team the ball and disrupt the shot attempt.

It would have to have been a quick release from Frankamp.

When Shamet pump faked and Adebayo came to double, the clock was getting to like under 3-4 seconds.

Right after the pump fake, the only other option was a quick catch and shoot with Frankamp probably having to hurry his release.
