NIU Pro Day Today - NIU32 - 03-10-2017 09:41 AM

Starts at 10am. If anyone has updates, please post. Heard Perez Ford is healthy now and participating today. Curious what kind of numbers he throws up

Anybody have a list of all the players participating? Golladay, Myers, and potentially Turner should all get NFL looks. Hare and Bouagnon may be long shots for an invite to a camp.

Also, just found this on Levon Myers today. Looks like he could slide up to the 4-5th round.

Wasn't he at last years pro day? Anyway, Ford is very athletic. He was a track star in HS. I bet he will post really good numbers. Similar to LSU's Duke Riley's at the combine. He's a known 4.6ish 40 guy and 20+ reps at 225.

Here are some awesome articles regarding Kenny

Quote:Take a peek at Northern Illinois’ Kenny Golladay. The 6-foot-4, 218 pounder was officially clocked at 4.50 in the 40-yard dash, had a 35.5-inch vertical jump and a more-than-respectable 4.15-second short shuttle time. Even better, he looked terrific during the position drills, showing impressive body control during the gauntlet drills to haul in a pass thrown behind him, while maintaining his momentum.

Adam Hoge is mocking Golladay to the Bears as well

Quote:4th round, No. 10 (No. 117 overall from Buffalo) – WR Kenny Golladay, Northern Illinois (6-4, 194)

One of the better wide receivers in Northern Illinois history, the St. Rita (Chicago) product has been flying under the radar. Somewhat surprisingly, Golladay wasn’t invited to the Senior Bowl and missed out on playing in the East-West Shrine Game because of injury. But Golladay showed up in Indianapolis and put on a strong showing at the NFL Combine, running a 4.5 40-time. That’s excellent speed for his size and he has some room to get stronger. Golladay has an excellent wingspan and has been making highlight-reel catches since he was a true freshman at North Dakota (he played there for two years before transferring). A very deep wide receiver class may prevent Golladay from going earlier, but his size and speed will make it tough for him to fall out of the fourth round. I think he would give the Bears a ton of value here, providing much needed depth at the position.

I know Folliard has been training hard for it. Guessing Golladay sits today out. He did everything and more last week at the combine

So that covers the vertical leap test. He will be top 5 in bench, 40 and vert. Just crush the cone drills now!

Folliard might end up light Schiller a few years back and stick on a couple teams practice squads for a couple years before fazing out. I can definitely see that.

The beauty of having Kenny G stand out at the combine is that he'll attract a ton of teams to Pro Day even if he doesn't do a single drill. Great opportunity for our seniors!

No Levon Myers?

Someone tell Sean the 3-cone drill is 30 yards. Not 28. #shaving tenths.

Tweets about KG at pro day today:

Kenny Golladay is impersonating OBJ at this @NIUAthletics Pro Day. Diving, one-handed catches all over the place.

The rep from the Detroit Lions is really working with @NIU_Football WR Kenny Golladay in catching drills.

Drew Hare is his Quarterback during drills and routes I hear. Good opportunity for Drew to showcase his arm.

NIU Pro Day Today - NIU32 - 03-10-2017 04:43 PM

Northern Illinois

The only player from NIU who participated at the combine last week was receiver Kenneth Golladay, and he exceeded expectations. Hence moving into today’s workout we were concentrating on two other players from the offense.

Golladay stood on his combine numbers but did go through position drills. I’m told the Cincinnati Bengals put the receiver through the position drills and the Detroit Lions sent their receivers coach to inspect Golladay.

Underrated offensive lineman Levon Myers had a solid day. The college left tackle, who projects to guard on Sunday, measured 6046/309lbs, completed 24 reps on the bench press and timed 5.38s in the forty.

I’m told he looked solid in drills and much more athletic than his numbers would lend one to believe. The Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Rams have shown a lot of interest in Myers, who many thought deserved an invitation to the combine.

The teams running back Joel Bouagnon, also looked good. Measuring 6011/230lbs, Bouagnon timed 4.61s in the forty, 4.31 in the short shuttle and 6.90 in the 3 cone. He touched 34 inches in the vertical jump and 10-foot-2 in the broad.

Bouagnon, who had dinner with the Green Bay Packers on Wednesday night and met with the San Diego Chargers after the workout, looked good in drills.

That's awesome for ACRB! I did not think he would get that much love in the NFL and I also did not think he could run that fast! Good for him!
