Lighten up, Francis. I'm sure his comment was mostly in jest, and just because the university isn't in over the Rhine doesn't mean Cincinnati (the city in which our school is located and after which it's named) doesn't have a rich brewing tradition.

I would love to see a new pattern on the floor. Nothing as ridiculous as Xavier's or Oregon's floor pattern, but certainly a nice red and black pattern.

You already have the red and black on the base line and the lane. How else might you incorporate more color without making something too busy on the actual floor between the lines?

I don't have an exact design in mind, and I wasn't suggesting it would be in addition to what we have now. I got the impression from looking at the initial pictures from 5/3 Reno that they were trying to keep the floor intact. I just hope there will be an updated design to match our updated arena and they've just decided to start reno on the middle of the floor without the desire to save it. I'm not attached to what is there now and it hasn't served as the background for many notable moments in Bearcat history so I don't see a reason to keep it as-is.

The trouble is, right now I'm pretty sure that it will be triangles. White and black triangles.
Personally, I prefer a classic, un-cluttered look.

They are just taking the floor up right now.
I am sure they will use it next year at NKU.
There is plenty of time to design and construct a new floor for the new Shoe.

They are cutting up the original floor that sits under the floating floor. They are working with a marketing company that will sell pieces of that floor.
