Its pretty clear there was surveillance of Trump Tower by the Obama administration. Numerous liberal sources have said there was. The Obama people have given carefully worded statements as opposed to unequivocal statements (other than Clapper who is what you would describe as a proven serial liar).
Now who (or what) was under surveillance is a question. As is who authorized it and who knew about it. Also why they were doing it and how broad their sweep was. Maybe it was a minor, clearly targeted effort not related to President Trump. Maybe it was a full scale abuse of power.

I'm unable to listen to the interview, but based on the story linked, it doesn't appear that's what she said at all.

You left out the biggest question to be answered if the tapping is confirmed. Was information gained in such surveillance then passed on to individuals in the White House whose sole use of such information would be for political gain?

So the FISA warrant never existed?

I think in the end it will be proven that Trump Tower was being monitored via a FISA warrant. Nothing illegal there if all went through proper channels.
The fly in the ointment is that it appears the DOJ had to make two attmepts to get the warrant during the heat of the campaign and Trump apparently has reason to believe that info gained was shared with persons not authorized to possess such info.....ie White House officials who may have had intent to use the information politically.
Unlike Mach who says there is no proof, I'm only speculating here but think this one may have legs, very long legs, and if anyone can keep the pot stirred, it's Trump.
