Yes, but the agents involved are probably still on the payroll, and can be called to explain the directive, and who ordered it. Plus, simply applying for the taps create a paper trail. I'm sure Obama didn't personally send the order, but someone within his administration would have been told to get it done. I have a feeling this thing is far from over.
Eventually the liberal media will have to cover it, or they will continue to lose credibility with the average American. They need to understand that the people are watching what is happening around our country. Slanting the reports, or just flat out ignoring major events, only hurts whatever credibility they may still retain.

This is so ******* un-American, it undermines the whole democratic republic. A sitting president wiretapping the opposing party's presidential candidate. I am not surprised that this was done under oblunder. What a ******* joke of a president he was.

Of course another very realistic possibility is Trump (and many of the folks here who support him) are crazy than bat you-know-what.

Clapper is the ultimate partisan. He has no credibility on the issue.
We'll see. The basic story that a request was placed in May and then again in October has been repeated in the liberal press as well.

What Clapper actually said was "his group" did not order it. He could not say if anyone else did.

I couldn't tell you a right from a left when it comes to news outlets other than the MSM. Other words I don't go looking for things that fits my thinking.
But does it matter which way he leans if he explains it in a way that makes sense? I watched it and from my opinion the things he said made sense and he got those ideals from the newspapers.

I'm going to withhold too much judgment until we see more brought to the light.
That said, this has the feeling of one of the biggest scandals in US political history.
We are exiting one of the worst periods of institutional corruption in American history and the leftovers are fighting for their lives.
