CSUB beats UC Irvine 5-4 to move to 23-17. They also beat UC Irvine earlier in the year. Dewsnap gets his 11th save and hasn't allowed a run in his last 13 innings of work.

'Snapper' (or Red Snapper as I prefer) is the first real bona fied closer that CSUB has ever really had. Getting better each outing too. Fun to watch him develop. Nice win tonight vrs UCI of total team effort. Nice crowd too, fair number of students.
I see the Ags had the Lobos bend over tonight too.

Ok, funny story I forgot earlier. So, we see this dude walk in with a doll. At first it kind of looks like a kids doll, like maybe something he has for a daughter. But, he's holding his hand like, inside the dolls shirt-back seam. I thought asked my buddy if that was a ventriloquist doll. Sure enough...
Apparently at a previous game I wasn't at, his heckling got a bit over the top with Nebraska. Apparently, some CSUB fans got onto him over it at the Nebraska game. So, we figured this was his was to get around it! Too funny! BTW, he wasnt out of line tonight at all. Not too loud either.
I have seen a LOT of things at baseball games in my life....but this was a first...

NMSU baseball rolling right now on the road, beat UNM 12-5, and beat Utah Valley 24-1 last night and 16-6 tonight.
NMSU is now 29-19 and 13-4 in WAC play.

GCU comes back after last night's 9-8 loss to win 19-0. Moves to 17-3 on the season in WAC play.
Side point: coming I to the weekend, GCU was third in the nation in conference record

The GCU-SU baseball game made sports center's top, top ten plays.was the catcher bobbling a catch, but still cool.

In other news...seemingly the WAC deserves its low RPI this year. 'Runners complicit as we gave away a game at CSUN, and then couldn't get anything going with LMU last night.
Currently mobile....away from the house or on "the throne."

Dont follow SU baseball very closely, but what happened to them this year? They were the pre season favorite and were so good the last two years. Any of you that watch WAC baseball know what the issues were this year?
