WMSB Basketball Update: CAA Play & Gold Rush - WMSportsBlog - 02-15-2017 07:00 PM

Following another colossal upset, this time at the hands of the lowly Drexel Dragons, W&M yet again showed us that it is a completely different animal at home. Hey, I mean we aren't complaining with a sparkling 12-0 home record...but, would it kill us to get going on the road?

The Towson game looks like it was a dagger mentally. Drexel..well, let's not even start. Huge road games on the horizon vs. JMU and Towson to right the ship. Great game vs. Charleston though -- looking to ride all of that momentum into the last four games. Oh, and...stay hot OMAR PREWITT! LET'S GO TRIBE.

Your first paragraph about the Gold Rush game ... it reads like the initial presentation of the idea to the powers that be. Amazing that a small bunch of fed up William and Mary alumni knew what they were talking about, isn't it?

As for the attendance figure in the second paragraph, the Tribe athletics website says that the attendance was 5,100. It is the highest attendance figure for the year.

2,000 more fans attended Gold Rush than attended the second highest attended game of the year against UNCW.

Lots more good ideas from where this one came from!

:-)

Thanks for the heads up on attendance! Fixing now! ESPN must have reported the wrong stat, since that's where I saw it 03-banghead
