Tubby took the blame in post game radio show...and I agree - TubbyTime - 02-12-2017 05:20 PM

He said it was his fault and he would have to take the blame. I agree, most of this one is on him. He said "I didn't make the right calls". I'm disappointed that he didn't get their attention in the first half when things were going bad. Of course it doesn't help when you're allowing open looks from three and playing little to no D., add in that we couldn't make any shots with poor shot selection and thus we lose. He could have took his coat off in that first half and woke them up. So, I put this on Tubby. Lastly when he subbed in the first half, those guys came in and sucked.

Turning point of the game.

The subbing is the subbing...

The subs worked last game and everyone praised him...We can't have it both ways.

But other than that it seems like there is more going on here that we don't see.

Playing with limited personnel makes it difficult. Too many mins for the starting 5 was a reason proposed by some for psst losses.

Honestly I think Tubby likes to play guys who can defend. Problem is he only has one guy who can defend and score.

Why is a player getting into o ***** fight with the beat writer on Twitter.

Not a good look for the program to have a little used sub doing that.

I saw that right when it went down, I follow Giannotto. I was shocked. If the staff is paying attention or would think he might get a hard talking to. His playing already is little to none.

Obviously Tubby has lost control of the team.

Sort of like Hillary being thrown in a scooby van like a sack of potatoes because she had lost control of her everything.

WADA

Tigers don't have an effing bench... You win some, you lose some.

same happened to coach jp and yall run him out of town on a rail sad situation

Somewhat different sitch when you can bring Tarik Black off the bench. Or even Stan Simpson.

Others have rightly observed that it was Tubby's call to enter the season with a short bench. Not saying fire him or anything, but he-and we-knew there would be some lumps to take.

JP made his own bed. Tubby is having to sleep in it.

True. The starters are all overworked, and the bench is inconsistent. Hard to sub when Tubby does not know if he is getting a productive player.

Hopefully he can right the ship with a couple of taller, heavier dudes next year.

RE: Tubby took the blame in post game radio show...and I agree - Tiger87 - 02-13-2017 10:31 AM

I didn't like the subs in the first half either because we were rolling. But then there's the accumulated minutes and bigger picture. So, yeah, we can second guess that. Works some and doesn't some.

The difference in Tubby and Pastner are too great to even start down that road in this thread.

Here's the whole exchange Even if the beat writer meant it the way Kessee chose to take it (which he didn't) Kessee shouldn't get involved like this. Then, once Giannotto cleared it up and held out the olive branch, Kessee didn't respond back..... not a lot of class but maybe Tubby told him to put a sock in it and just drop it.

So Christian Kessee was -21 in 3 minutes of action today, according to the Memphis in-house stats. I can't even believe that's possible.

@rylanburns @christianbyronn It's okay. I can see how the tweet may have rubbed him the wrong way. Context & Twitter don't go hand in hand.

It is impossible to be -21 in +/- in three minutes unless your team is outscored by 21 points in those three minutes.
