History books 50 years from now:

2017 was the year the Coffee Wars began. Small coffee companies joined together to take on the larger corporate coffee companies. The coffee wars are comparable to Empire and Rebellion of the Star Wars universe. Coffee boarding became a standard torture practiced by both sides. Was however pioneered by Starbucks. Unlike the Rebellion defeating the Empire, the smaller coffee companies could not replenish their numbers, as the larger corporate coffee companies could hire refugees by the thousands. The smaller coffee companies asked the U.S. government for helped, but the U.S. government was blocked from intervening by the numerous lawsuits the corporate coffee companies filed in federal court. Sadly on the day the agreement to end the Coffee Wars was to be signed in Seattle, a nuclear bomb went off destroying the city. It was discovered that the parts to make the nuclear weapon were smuggled in by terrorists posing as refugees from Iran and the nuclear material was smuggled in from Vancouver by North Koreans posing as Chinese.

The Coffee Wars were the kicking off point for Bean Wars in South America.

To hell with Starbucks. I never go into a Starbucks, but over the years I have bought Starbucks gift cards to distribute to people who attend some of my sales meetings. Well, no more. I probably buy 200 gift cards a year at $10 a card. I will find something else to give them in the future.

Love it. The free market at work.

Never let a "crisis" go to waste. They see an opportunity to make a publicity splash and to generate more revenues on the perceived issues with Starbucks. If it works for them great. If not, someone else will take a run at the companies on top.

Give them Chik-Fi-Le cards. You're welcome.

Apparently BRCC made an impact. Most of their coffee is sold out. Although I've been trying to buy some the last week and it's been hit or miss.

I love claiming things that you'll never actually do as a way to sell a product. Smart marketing knowing they'll immediately sell to Trump supporters..

Never heard of it. I wish them well in this venture. Starbucks products are overpriced and at best mediocre in quality.

Owner is a vet. Why wouldn't he hire more vets? Some of the profits go to vets.

All about marketing, and this effort is very strong.

But does he honestly have 10,000 employees?

We all know Starbucks isn't actually going to hire 10K Refugees, and this guy isn't going to hire 10K veterans.

It's marketing. Starbucks is trying to win favor after a Mexican led boycott on the product. This guy is trying to win favor in a similar way. It's a great strategy to sell coffee.

They should drop the "B" in their stock symbol.
