So now were just going for payoffs again. This rule actually HELPS many US firms, because it allows them to say.....we can't pay you bribes, so don't ask.

This is really so XOM can hide its deals with Putin. Even from its shareholders...You know, the people that supposedly own the company.

Good lord everything revolves around Putin. This is so all US multinational corps can have a level playing field. Other nations constantly bribe to get deals done. Not saying it's right, but it is the way stuff gets done globally. Allowing our corps to actually compete is a good thing, IMO.
