Older people ruined Facebook. Virtually nobody my age (30) that I'm friends with shares countless meme after meme on Facebook, but all my 40+ year old friends and family members will share literally dozens of things a day. Once the platform was opened to the chain email generation, it was never the same.

My Facebook is all political rants from women I went to college with and my Aunt posting Minion memes and requests to play CandyCrush.
However, my wife and her friend use Facebook a lot to communicate and coordinate and share information.

I like to go to Facebook to look at the funny memes and funny videos. I'll go to the Friends list of people that I don't have the foggiest idea who they are. If I get into one of those from women who make kissy-kissy faces on it I leave right away. With those women of all ages it's all about them except when they rant and rave about Trump on how he's ruining the country in one week.
The only time I do go there is when I get exhausted from bickering with the Libt***s on this site. It's my safe space. LOL

Yep. It's painful to watch 50 something share every article and every meme they run across. Especially when about a quarter of the articles they post turn out to be junk.

I've started to actively encourage them to delete me...usually to humorous results.
