Good news for some - ncrdbl1 - 01-21-2017 10:34 PM

Damn damn damn For the past 15 years i have not been able to stand for any period of tome until my back tightens up and i am in great pain.

Now that has changed. The last two weeks i have not been able to sit at the computer for any period of time before my back begins to tighten up and am in great pain.

Interesting part is i have been without my muscle relaxers for a while and just got my prescription filled. Now it seems as if they are making it worst instead of helping. I hope it is because it takes time to get them back into my system.

So i will be limiting my visits for a while.

I only hope Orlandotime and others such as him do not miss me too much.

Will have to limit the amount of time i spend online for now. Or at least until i can get back to where i can at least sit up for more than 20 minutes at a time without pain.

So enjoy your free time for misleading and misrepresenting the facts while you can I WILL BE BACK.

Only hope i can get someone in house to set up things so i can watch the FS2 part of the 24 Hours of Daytona next weekend. Staying up for 24 Hours for this event has been a tradition for many years.

Man hate to hear that...We may not agree on many things but don't wish pain on anyone.

Man I'm sorry for your troubles and pain. I get NO joy out of your situation, not one bit. You will be in my prayers starting tonight. Knowing this totally changes things. I no longer have a desire to come after you with harsh words, mostly in retaliation. If you take bashing shots at me or Tubby going forward, I will do my best at trying to look the other way. What I can guarantee to you is this...you will be in my prayers, this I can tell you! I am very sorry that you suffer like you do. I would like to apologize for my words toward you. Take care.

Yep. Sorry to hear that for you. As one with some lower back issues I can sympathize. Here's to things working out for you so you can get back to posting pain-free.

Pain pills

RE: Good news for some - holyterror - 01-22-2017 06:14 AM

Sorry to hear that. I've got some lower back issues (they run in my family), but they don't hold a candle to yours.

I hate to hear it. First Gordon retires due to lower back issues...maybe all that driving took its toll.

Regardless, heal up.

Man you have to learn to turn right sometimes. It will help get you back into equilibrium.

Seriously, get better. Back pain sucks.

RE: Good news for some - danny1 - 01-22-2017 08:41 AM

That bites! Praying that your pain goes away ASAP.

I'm going to ask a dumb question - do you know what the source of the pain is? I used to have chronic lower back pain and stayed on anti-inflammatory meds, muscle relaxers and pain pills. I would finally get better and then just turn or bend over and out my back would go again. Finally went to see a chiropractor (used to think they were quacks) and my treatment results were almost miraculous. All depends on what is causing the problems as some issues they simply cannot treat.

Hope you get to feeling better!

Wish you the best!

RE: Good news for some - roachman48 - 01-22-2017 10:16 AM

I sincerely hope you receive some improvement and pain relief.
When you are able to return to board, please update us on your back condition.

RE: Good news for some - SayWhat? - 01-22-2017 10:29 AM

If a chiropractor or osteopath have treated your condition with no releif, then you should consult with a pain management specialists. My father had suffered with back pain for decades. Managing his pain with pills prescribed by the orthopedic doctors. When the pain got worse with no relief I finally got him to go to a pain specialists. His lower spine was fused together due to injuries and old age. Went in for initial consultation one day, came back a couple days later for treatment. On a scale of 1 to 10 his pain level was an 8 to 9. Because he had managed it for decades and was used to that level he just accepted what the doctors had said, "you're just going to have to live with it and manage it with meds".

On the return visit he received treatment. It was a special injection into the spinal column that can last for months and up to a year or slightly longer. When he came back to the waiting room he was nearly pain free. Pain went from an 8 plus to a 1 or 2. Which for him was as good as not having any pain at all. He was 80 at the time of treatment. He was never made aware there was a possible non invasive treatment available. He was walking and doing things he was not able to do for the past 20 plus years. He was a different person for his remaining years.

Feel better, see you on your return.

04-cheers to getting rid of pain

RE: Good news for some - Claw - 01-23-2017 10:07 AM

Can't fix you, but I do recommend a good tablet. An IPad, Kindle, or Android tablet will let you terrorize all of us from bed.

Depending on your TV source you can watch show on your tablet as well. Read books. Get the radio. Surf the web. All that without getting up. All you need is wifi in your house. Some tablets work over mobile signal but there are charges.

Get well.

RE: Good news for some - ksigtigerdood - 01-23-2017 10:19 AM

Hope you get well soon. A Tiger fan in pain is never good news.

As Claw mentioned, you can get on MT.org from just about anywhere in this day and age. Hoping for a speedy recovery

RE: Good news for some - tiger.fish - 01-23-2017 11:24 AM

Here's to a quick recovery. Hope to see you back soon.
