Keep NMSU and Idaho.
NMSU - All sports. (Add UNCA ((or some other decent school that doesn't have football)) for Oly)
Idaho as Football only.

JMU...their budget exceeds anything currently in the conference and would increase the competitiveness in out of conference play within a year or two.

I didn't even think about adding teams from Conference USA (or MAC), I'm sure most would prefer that, but I'm not sure how realistic that would be.

I'd put JMU and UT Chatanooga on the list, but I see no reason to expand now.

If the aim is to try to piss off the CUSA then why not try to pilfer USM and UAB from them? But JMU wouldn't be a bad add to the Sunbelt. Although I am tired of the Sunbelt being the one to be the doorway for FCS schools to move up to FBS.

CUSA took ODU and UNCC from the FCS. The Sun Belt isn't the only conference that has done it recently.

No expansion unless it mean established, top of their conference, FBS teams from peer conferences. Otherwise, stand pat and build on what's here. The Sunbelt has made tremendous strides in the past 5 years. don't lose that.

Based on what possible criteria is Sam Houston State a top program?
Their facilities (football for sure) is crap.
Their attendance is crap.
Their budget is crap.
Their donor base is crap.
The answer to this question is: add no one. If forced, you add Rice (good baseball, storied program, in large market that bridges gaps between universities and brings a TREMENDOUS recruiting location for all schools), and USM.
