Nate Silver: Clinton lost 4 states (FL, MI, WI, PA) by ~1 point. If not for Comey/Russia, she probably wins them all by ~2 points & strategy looks great.
The stunt that Comey pulled will live in infamy too. What a disaster for our country. The orange haired messiah is going to disappoint a lot of people. Sad.

If Trump disappoints us at least we've had 8 years of that under our belts and used to it. Thanks for the heads up though. I should give you points for such an insightful post.

Comey had nothing to do with it. The real data showed Clinton dramatically slipping a week before Comey did anything.
But keep thinking that it was all Comey and not the candidate or her policies. You all have done well to put Pelosi back in charge. I'm looking forward to a 62 vote majority in the senate in two years.

So we're blaming Comey now. I laugh that so many people have claimed Trump has failed as a President but has yet to be sworn in. The man is a hard worker and hates to fail. Let's give him a chance. He wasn't the pick I wanted for the GOP but he's the pick that won it.

Initial reaction was that it was an epic fail, but after I saw the tweets from the commits that Lyin' Tom is trying to flip to UT (he offered two of our better commits this week, and both said they were shutting down their recruitment and sticking with UH because of the Applewhite hire), as well as from Ed Oliver and Kyle Allen, I'm starting to come around. Applewhite was probably the right decision. Kiffin would have been a splash, but he has no TX connections and would be gone in 1-2 year(s). Orlando is a great defensive mind, but again, minimal ties to TX (zero outside of his time at UH) and his offensive philosophy would have been a complete unknown.
Applewhite has the pedigree (coached under Mack, Saban, and Lyin' Tom), is a great recruiter, and is on a first name basis with every major HS program in TX.
