If Fickell stays for CFP he is done - jarr - 12-10-2016 11:08 AM

That will tell us everything we need to know about his commitment to this job. As the HC of UC, any success from OSU is going to cause more harm than good to our program.

Luke... you have one chance to get this right, don't screw this up!

Dear god...

RE: If Fickell stays for CFP he is done - apoe - 12-10-2016 11:24 AM

JFC.....

Herman credited his fresh and shiny national championship as huge help to his recruiting at Houston. As long as they are recruiting I don't care if he coaches the playoff

He won't be done for me but he is going to permanently jade a lot of fans before he's ever worn a UC shirt. If Bohn did not understand that he has miserably misjudged the present emotional status of the fanbase.

C'mon guys. Let's see how this issue is handled.

Can't he do both? I am kinda with the idea that having him on the sidelines at the CFP is good pub for us. Can't he recruit in the meantime?

RE: If Fickell stays for CFP he is done - BeerCat - 12-10-2016 12:17 PM

You guys are pathetic. Really. Luke Fickell should not give a rats ass about you morons. He should and does care about The PLAYERS which he made a commitment to. These kinds of things plus a couple of enormous championship rings on his fingers will sure as hell help landing some better recruits. So go cry by yourself. Damn.

Probably not at 100%. Which is why Oregon, Texas and every other major school insists their new coaches start right away.

There are some serious drama queens on this board. This thread title honestly sounds like a jealous high school girl would say it.

We will instantly be a better program the second he is announced. I do not think the cupboard is bare and I am very hopeful for next year.

Yep, I am pretty sure things worked out okay for Houston... People on this board just need something to complain about. Let the #FireFickell threads begin.

I'll be very happy if Fickell turns out anywhere close to Herman. But I faio to see how it working out for Houston means we should do it too.

Kirby Smart was celebrating on the field in Arizona in January and not in Athens, Georgia.

Good lord. What a terrible thread.

How'd that work out for Georgia? Record is worse than with Richt the year before.

Maybe he's just not that good of a head coach. Tom Herman being 1,000 miles away from Houston for a month didn't seem to hurt.

Hasn't even started and already the coach bashing begins. Pathetic

RE: If Fickell stays for CFP he is done - Tomcat - 12-10-2016 12:49 PM

The recruiting quiet period starts,I believe Monday and lasts for a month,so even if he starts tomorrow he can't contact any recruits!

Yes he can. Not in person but electronically (which is how most of its done now anyway). He can start getting guys identified, communicate interest to them and start getting OVs scheduled for January.
