Sunbelt Offenses - Franko - 12-03-2016 07:44 PM

I was looking at the box from ULL vs ULM today. I thought it was a glitch in the data. ULL's QB Anthony Jennings was 2-5 for 0 yards apparently the 2 were both interceptions. ULM's QB had a stellar game in contrast, Caleb Evans was 3-14 for 31 yards and 2 INT's. Is that real or is the data incomplete? 04-jawdrop

Wow. How the heck did they score? I checked the score after our game and LA-LA was up 20-3 or something.

I think they ran Mcguire a lot, not a bad plan.

Must be healthy again. A few weeks ago I read a quote from Hudspeth saying McGuire was playing at 40% and none of their other rbs were producing.

It was a monsoon. Not like we have a good offense anyway. We scored on two fumbles returned for TDs on back to back drives by ULM. The game was terrible other than the outcome.

the first positive yd pass completion came around the 5 min left to go in the game mark....

was one helluva dousing that game was played in...

By the way you don't get a completion for interceptions. Those go as incompletions on the stat line.

So they either had two zero yard completions or one negative and one positive gain on completions of equal yardage.

I was 30 minutes away in Ruston and didn't like going outside. It was raining and cold. Definitely wouldn't have wanted to be at a game in that weather. We had a game like that last year (North Texas). Couldn't feel my hands afterwards lol. The weather was miserable and it was such a blow out that by the end there was almost no one left lol.

Good point, that makes more sense. Generally speaking though the CUSA offenses were much more productive. Is that indicative of the style of play or a larger number of quality skill players?

That's nothing, the Mean Greens couldn't feel their asses.

Better skill players but no one in C-USA is playing much defense either. Sun Belt does seem to have some decent defenses but there isn't anyone that can match the skill on offense that La Tech, MT and wkcc have.

Supposedly there was only 142 people actually there. Looked like more than that by double. Haha but the Cajuns brought 2 bus loads of folks.

Cajuns have webbed feet and a thick underlying layer of down.

WKCC... I laughed. Well played, sir.

The SunBelt offends me.

RE: Sunbelt Offenses - ericsaid - 12-06-2016 01:08 PM

I'm beginning to think you should change the title of this unless you want to also discuss App having two one hundred yard rushers their past two games and are approaching having two 1,000 yard rushers on the season, one of which is going to break 5,000 career yards.

Any quantitative data to back up this claim? No I don't mean head to head match-ups as both teams haven't faced the same defenses.

That's all for an in-state rival that determines your bowl hopes?

Lol if you think that ULM is our in state rival. We are saddled with playing them because our former president made a backroom deal with then NLU's president to get them in the Sun Belt.
