Quote:Clemson University announced Monday an extension through June 30, 2022, of the contract for Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich. Radakovich has served in the role since December 2012 and has led the Tiger athletic department to high achievements both on the field and in the classroom while developing significant upgrades in finances and facilities.

By nearly every measure, Radakovich led Clemson to one of the best athletic years in school history in 2015-16. With a fall semester featuring berths in the national championship games in both football and men’s soccer and Spring ACC championships in men’s golf and baseball, the Tigers recorded their highest finish in the Learfield Director’s Cup in a decade.

“Dan is without a doubt one of the best ADs in the country and I’m proud of the work our student-athletes have done in the classroom and around our community under his leadership,” President James P. Clements said. “We’ve seen incredible progress in our athletic facilities and tremendous successes on the field over the last four years, and I’m thrilled Dan wants to continue to serve at Clemson for a long time.”

In the classroom, 78 student-athletes earned degrees last year and, while competing for national titles, both football and men’s soccer recorded record GPAs. Clemson’s Graduation Success Rate and Academic Progress Rate continue to be among the nation’s best as football, men’s basketball and women’s golf were recognized among the top 10 percent nationally in APR, with football earning the distinction for the sixth-consecutive year. Earlier this month the NCAA announced Clemson had matched its school record with a 91 percent Graduation Success Rate, sixth-highest nationally among public institutions.

If I were SMU I would make Auburn's Rhett Lashlee an offer that would very hard to turn down.
